Bio

Lindsay is a senior consultant, with diverse experience in global engagement, international marketing, partnership development and government relations. Over the last 20 years, Lindsay has lived and worked across Asia, the Middle East and North America building experience across the public, private, not-for-profit and education sectors.

Most recently, Lindsay held a leadership role with Asialink Business at the University of Melbourne. Australia’s National Centre for Asia Capability, Asialink delivers advisory, training and advocacy programs on behalf of the Federal Government to help business engage with Asia. Lindsay led a national advocacy program, business events and government and stakeholder engagement initiatives working with the export, finance, sustainability, health, education and digital economy industries.

Prior to this, Lindsay was based between Melbourne and Shanghai where he founded and ran his own international strategy and marketing agency. Today he delivers strategic planning, international expansion, stakeholder engagement, integrated marketing and multicultural communications services for clients around the world. He has worked with government agencies; airports; tourism boards; major events; hotels, hospitality and retail precincts; and food & wine brands, delivering programs in Canada, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Greater China.

Lindsay has a strong background in tourism strategy, regional development, industry engagement, event marketing and aviation attraction, together with first-hand experience working in Government and across operational roles in the visitor economy and business events sector. From 2003 – 2014, Lindsay worked with the Victorian Government in the international marketing division of Tourism Victoria and at the Phillip Island Nature Parks – home of the Penguin Parade.

On a personal level, Lindsay is passionate about celebrating diversity, contributing to a sustainable and inclusive future, and using research-driven insights to drive innovation and positive change for organisations and the broader community. He is also an accomplished linguist having studied Mandarin and Japanese for more than 10 years.
