Cam Vale – Specialist

Sport & Major Events and Commercial Strategy

Bio

Cam has spent 22 years in leadership roles in sport across professional codes and national sporting organisations, and recently been consulting on events, sports technology and broadcast rights.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Cam spent 18 years in CFO, COO and CEO roles in sport before moving into consulting and project work.

He has been responsible for significant strategic, commercial outcomes at North Melbourne Football Club, Hockey Australia and Baseball Australia and is now doing consulting for major entities – Australian Sports Technologies Network and Spring Media Group out of Europe.

Cam has focused on the business of sport and securing legacy outcomes – from NMFC deal in Tasmania, to multiple international partnerships in Hockey through to privatising the Australian Baseball League and bringing in two new expansion teams including the innovative Geelong-Korea baseball team.

Also, Cam has had responsibility for overseeing high performance, pathway and participation outcomes in his 8 years inside NSOs, and has worked with all levels of government, major and minor events, whilst leading staff at all levels and managing up to boards for the last 15 years of his career.
